Creating Success Together
On Aug. 6, 2014, California educators, nonprofits, community volunteers legislators and financial professionals will gather together with a common goal—to fight financial illiteracy. Now in its fifth year, the 2014 California Financial Literacy Summit provides free educational resources for teachers, builds connections within the California community to promote financial education and focuses on the how we can empower the next generation to better manage their finances through education.
Why Should You Attend?
With the recent passage of AB 166 promoting education on budgeting, student loans and managing consumer debt in California high school curriculum, it will be key for legislators to hear feedback from teachers and experienced volunteers about the best ways to integrate financial education into the classroom. The 2014 California Financial Literacy Summit is a unique opportunity to connect with leaders in the financial literacy community as well as educators, nonprofit volunteers, community organizers and financial professionals.
