  “Wild About Saving”

Annual Speech Competition

The speech competition was held on April 16th. This year’s theme was based on the 2015 National Youth Involvement Week theme – Wild About Saving.

One of the best ways to help young Californians reach their goals is to encourage financial literacy.

On Thursday, April 16, 2015 the Credit Union Partners in Education (CU-PIE) hosted their annual speech competition. Representatives from various Sacramento area credit unions write and present a speech based on the year’s theme.  Seven speeches made it to the finals and were presented, each employing different techniques to relay the importance of saving. The speakers touched on how credit unions help their members obtain financial well-being.
